25 Responses to “The Next Depression?”

  1. assoonas1 says:

During the Great Depression 9,000 banks failed, the unemployment stayed above 20% for four straight years, from 1932 to 1935.
While some cheer for the government intervention, others argue that these bailout dollars will only end up digging the U.S. economy deeper into the hole. So which will it be? At this point, it’s too soon to tell. But just like during the Depression, each day brings the economy one step closer to a recovery. Some things never change.

  2. Einstiensblackid says:

Look around you stoner. You’re country is in crisis mode too.

He may not an economist. But he UNDERSTOOD economics more than those so called smart PhD’s!!

  5. homer30 says:

“The common idea that America is an immensely rich and affluent country is very much an exaggeration. American affluence is heavily mortgaged. American carries a tremendous burden of debt to its poor people. That this debt must be paid is not only a wish of the do-gooders. Not paying it implies a risk for the social order and for democracy as we have known it.”

The world is collapsing!!!! The dollar is going to fail!!!!

So, ……… send us money because we either can’t get, or don’t want sponsors.

  7. strykersux says:

So, a super left news network.

“if everyone pitches in?? Oh, like Communism. Fantastic…

  8. Yehshua4eva says:

America is now living in a deluded state of perpetual narcosis. A wounded lion unknowningly that the disease within is slowly rotting its inside. Its massive teeth baring to its enemies all watching for that last breath its roar has now become a cry, fear is in its eyes.
The play has concluded the greatest hoax is now in its final scene. Ur bail out, Barak Obama, Wars, dollar devalue, the Rich have left the poor remains. The final act is upon us.
Save urself America stock up food.

  9. TerrierBram says:

USA, it will be hard, but in it’s hard simple. American products, american energy, american work! You people transformed your society from a producing society, to a China consuming society. Not healthy. Legalize Cannabis, and start to use that to make a sound economy with it.

  10. FGTBOGSAT says:

Peter Schiff manages over one billion dollars for his clients. He is the most accurate of the markets oracles.

  11. Renegen1 says:

Peter Schiff is not an economist.

  12. gemini067 says:

This is what the American people VOTED for, we have no one to blame but ourselves. DO NOT VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT, we must rid ourselves of the idiots in Washington, ALL of them.

  13. Panpiper says:

It’s not a question of us ‘doing that’ and ‘then’ as a result, the US dollar turns worthless. It’s what we’ll do afterwards, ‘when’ it turns worthless.

  14. lordblazer says:

I hope the japanese yen devalues soon. shit that use to be expensive(like food) is damn near unaffordable for me because I have my savings in USD.

  15. lordblazer says:

yes please do that and fuck me over by turning my USDs into more worthless currency while I am living in Japan. Which is slightly in a recession. Most of the world isn’t as bad as the US. Though its bad everywhere. The US is in a crappy condition from what I’ve heard. But I am on JASSO so :D but the Yen can’t stay strong or Japan’s economy will suffer.

  16. Panpiper says:

Folks, just make sure you’ve all got some gold and silver coinage stashed away. It needn’t be much, $1-2000. in gold/silver, just enough to get by for a few months of grocery shopping might well do the trick. When the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, we’ll all coordinate a web movement to en mass shift to a gold/silver economy. We could ourselves, simply stop using worthless paper, all on our own. To hell with the Gov and the Reserve.

  17. NathanZackery says:

Actually Hugo Chavez is the democratically elected leader of Venezuela, despite the US gov’s best efforts to support a military coup against him.

  18. bpmca69 says:

I checked these guys out personally. I visited their offices, talked with their journalists and checked out their background and sources of funding. I don’t always agree with the talking heads they invite onto their network, but I see divergent opinion and no axes to grind within their reporting. Its founder, Paul Jay, was one of Canada’s most awarded news and documentary producer, created North America’s largest documentary film festival. I hope that helps a bit.

  19. bpmca69 says:

By what standards is he a dictator? He has the most closely monitored elections in the whole world, from the European Union to the Carter Center overseeing and certifying his elections. If you don’t agree with his governance and policy - fine, but by no standard is he a dictator.

  20. LooseLatitude says:

Chill out people. Countries around the world are going to coordinate a devaluation of their currencies to prevent a collapse of various currencies.

We’re not going to be walking around with wheel barrels of dollars.

Don’t get me wrong though, we’re still going to be in a world of hurt.

  21. tersie802 says:

    Danny Glover - Traitor!

  22. crb4059 says:

Oh, The irony of having Danny Glover, a man who consorted with socialist dictator hugo chavez prefacing your economic “news”.

  23. BABIEBABIE7 says:

Destruction by design…the “Federal Reserve” is neither Federal, nor is it a reserve…abolish the Federal Reserve and the false paper debt! Abolish the Federal Reserve and the false hyperinterests! Give the power of the Federal bank back to the U.S. govt, and out of the hands of the int’l banking mafia!

  24. mycatisromeo says:

Is this “Real News” for real or is it a scam to make money on donations. I just don’t believe it is “real”. I’m so sceptical from all the bullshit and scammers in the world. I’ve lost trust in almost everything.
