QuietBuck asked:

A short film I put together showing what it was like during the 1930’s Great Depression. And its comparison to 2008.

People need to realize we are heading down the exact same road. The same great economic downturn, the same war already planned on the books.

We know the ugly outcome of this path, for history clearly shows us. So I ask, why are we marching down the same road once again?

3 images in this video are of my family during these troubling times.

LMAO. You complain. Listen, you voted for a damn war. Now we spend all this money and Afghanistan training their military and police, guess what, they are the fifth poorest country in the world and we’ve been fighting there five years… So, the option is, either we keep shelling out money for them to continue their forces that we train, or they resort to nomadic drug smuggling, but better trianed. Boy Bush messed the world up buddy, just admit it and get to work.

According to my 75 yr old uncle who lived through the Depression in the early 30s, he says that we are in a Depression now…but our gov’t wont acknowledge it…just like the current recession that began in Dec. 2007. BTW, I too was laid off from my job and Im a fulltime student.. I hope wont be homeless by February 2009…3 months before my graduation.

  6. Ragnorckgorgonash says:

You just keep telling yourself, if mccain could just have totally committed America to the needs of Iraq everything would be perfect.

The rest of us will deal with reality.

Municipalities need to be securing their ’sub-strata’ now.

Read the news. It’s everywhere cutting jobs, cost-cutting, no export/import demands…the world banks…

  9. tokyokitty23 says:

  10. 44like24 says:

Why is it that whenever anyone questions Obama’s integrity, they immediately get insulted or even threatened? Here it is that Obama TOLD YOU he was going to spread the wealth, McCain even WARNED you and still you refuse to listen. You bitch about having to give a one time bailout of 700 Billion. Just wait until you find out that Obama will provide the UN with an annual income of .07 GDP…that equals about 500 Billion EVERY YEAR from now on. Gonna defend Obama now? Welcome to your CHANGE!

good, now maybe China can take care of everybody else instead of us for a change

This song should be America’s theme song.

  13. unkilllarry says:

Obama won’t be able to save the country. His populist programs and ideas will be just as bad as Hoover’s programs. The 1929 Crash didn’t start The Great Depression. Crazy socialist ideas started the pain. Google The Creature From Jekyll Island.

  14. andrewng1 says:

we are on a crash course with depression , it’s just a matter of time.

  15. QuietBuck says:

david: I hear ya. I have lived check to check most of my life. Raised middle class but am just able to keep my nose on that window sill. But we are rich when you take into account others in the world survive on less than $2 a day. Thats water and rice w/ a mud house. We are rich, we just don’t understand what true poor is.

  16. Davidweiser says:

in spite of popular opinions most Americans ae not rich, and never have been. It takes everything we have just to pay the Bills month to month. Its the rich that have everything, I’ve been poor most of my life, the Rich nevr give anyone a chance and blame them for not creating their own solotions to problembs that the Rich made for them. Well Fk them, I’m glad the rich have to beg for money now. Let them have a taste of what its been like for us. Won’t bother me, can’t miss what I never had.

They were warned by the Red man and they laughed
they know nothing but Greed in Washington

In Canada we have embraced the Red Man though not as much as I would of hoped for.
The days of thunder in America is approaching
get out of the way it will consume you.
Washington is under a spell the arrogance that they have will bury them all.
The North American natives come and go in Canada they are free it is the white man that is trapped in the box.
